my new toy
I know I haven’t written anything lately, but I’ve been busy. No, really. I was! Anyhow. About two week or two I got my hands on my newest toy - the Speedlite 580ex II (: And I’ve entered the world of endless possibilities with it. So this weekend, when I forgot the charger for my Mac in Ljubljana, I played a little with the strobe and a set of other toys - the Elinchrome Skyports. These babies rock! The following pic is just the beginning the first steps in understanding manual control over the camera, as well as the flash. Also a reflector was used. Directly above the camera reflecting down on my sisters face. That’s it for now. I’m off to make pancakes. (: Until next time …
No commentsI GOT IN!!!
Just today I got word from Germany that I have been accepted for the student exchange at the Pforzheim University. I’m going there in february, and will be counting the months (later the days) until I leave.

Just now I came across a project raising awareness of the XDR-TB (Extremely Drug Resistant Tubercolosis). I think people should have a look at James Nachtwey’s TED project. Just follow this link.
No commentsPavle.
Iskreno sožalje izrekam Nadi in Ani Karin ter najbližjim.
Pavle počivaj v miru.

Today I was making room on my mac for a few hours of DV video, so I decidet to relocate most of my photos to my new super big external drive. And in the meantime I found a few pics that I will publish here in a few consecutive days.
This is the first one:

Oi!
As some of you may know I’m currently at a research camp on Golte in Slovenia. I’m a mentor and I teach young folks a little bit about photography, a little bit about video and editing and some general journalistic things. Yesterday night I took a few of them out to pose for me, as I played arround with an off-camera flash and a headlamp. Boy were they obedient :p Here are the results:
2 commentsPosters
Finally … just recently I finished a couple of posters for Euro<26. Yes, they are pink. Yes they have cows and palms on them. Also an astronaut. Is that good looking? found out some people find it very nice and other quite disturbing. It’s kind of a love or hate things. You be the judge.
No commentsVacation in Croatia
Yes. I’m back from my vacation with my girlfriend and a friend of ours. We were on the island Pašman in a camp and loved the doing nothing for the whole time spent there. Of course I had my camera with me and couldn’t resist taking a few photos whenever I collected enough energy and will pover to get off my ass. If you know what I mean. So enough said, here are the photos.
7 commentsWork, work and …
… WORK! I’m worked up, totally. I’m a royal pain in the ass right now. I have my regular job to do. And there is still a matter of some other stuff that needs attending. All until the end of the week. And then on sunday I leave this civilized world for two weeks. Two weeks without my phone or internet. Just my girl, my camera, my Mac, the sea and the sun! I need that. I need it badly!
No commentsWait in line!
It has started. The iPhone frenzy. People have already started to wait in line in front of the Apple store on 5th Avenue in NY. I found this on endgadget. What’s so special about that? The iPhone comes out on the July 11th. But no fuss, obviusly (:
Regarding my iPhone purchase - I’m out of luck. For now … But this is not over. Far from over! HAHA (:
